IATSE Launches Safety Hotline Program

"The International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees has launched its safety hotline program for members to report hazards on the job.

These were some of the questions addressed by Why Unions Still Matter, a roadshow presentation developed by the School of Labour Studies at McMaster University in conjunction with IATSE Canada. Congratulations to Pauline Heaton for receiving the Fusion Cine Artistic Innovation Award at the 2015 Spotlight Awards (to be presented June 15th). 

"The Artistic Innovation Award honours women who demonstrate vision, experimentation and innovation and who have created a significant body of work in these forms or an outstanding new work."

Beautiful BC Takes Spotlight in Disney's "Tomorrowland" Media Campaign

British Columbia is being shown some love by Disney Film 'Tomorrowland' ad campaign.

"Beginning this week, outdoor ads promoting the film with be tagged with 'Proudly Filmed in Beautiful B.C.' messaging". 

'Tomorrowland' opens in theatres May 22nd, 2015.
